A friend of mine just built a new house and decided that as part of the finishing touches she would install a whole house water filtration system and top it off with an under counter alkaline water ionizer machine. Alkaline Water & Arthritis Is A Good Mixture

After months of pain that began to increase, my friend was diagnosed with mild osteoarthritis in her upper spine/neck area. She could live with the pain, but it also affected her “golf” arm. THAT she couldn’t live with. She started chiropractic treatment which helped a lot, but she was told the treatments could only do “so much,” so the goal was to reduce the inflammation and get her golf swing back.

After several months’ of treatment and a second series of X-rays, her inflammation was negligible, her upper spine was moving well, and her pain was pretty much gone. A few twinges here and there, and yes, taking calcium and increasing core exercises helped, but she also told her doctor that she’d been drinking pure alkaline water for at least six months since being diagnosed. Based on his past experience with other patients with her condition, he was impressed and surprised. He’s now an advocate of alkaline water as a part of osteoporosis and arthritis care/prevention.

Well here’s some news: if the acidic levels in your body are high, your body’s immune system doesn’t function very well. My poor 14-year-old cat suffers from “hot spots” on his lower back and tummy. Although I still bathe him once a week with special shampoo, I’ve discovered that by applying acidic waters 3X a day, the redness is going away much faster. David’s Story – Drink Alkaline Water for Better Health

In 1995, my husband, David, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and no traditional treatments were recommended until the disease progressed. Once the disease progressed, the prognosis was a series of operations, chemotherapy, and eventual death. He was given a life expectancy of approximately 5-8 years. He was 48-years-old.

Looking for another answer, we began working with a noted immunologist in New York who was conducting a clinical trial. Through testing, we discovered David’s acidic blood levels were WAY HIGH. So the first call to order was to lower his acidic levels to a more alkaline environment (diseases cannot grow in an alkaline environment).

I won’t detail the full regimen involved, but by making dietary changes, adding nutritional supplements, and drinking reverse osmosis (RO) water, as regular tap water is too acidic, his acidic levels began to drop.

According to AP Medical Writer, MIKE STOBBE – AP – Wed, Aug 17, 2011– In June 2011, a young man from Louisiana died due to a brain-eating amoeba that is found in “warm ponds or lakes.” His death was unusual, however, as according to health officials, the amoeba was found in his OWN TAP WATER. The young man had been using a neti pot to alleviate allergies or a sinus problem. The Louisiana’s state epidemiologist stated that the “problem wasn’t in the city water samples, but was confined to the home’s water system.”

Now if that young man had been using alkaline water only available through an ionizer, which filters out almost 100% of impurities from tap water, would he still be alive? We will never know.

I live in the woods, but have many flower beds that I’m forced to weed on a regular basis. Because of an ongoing battle with poison ivy that’s always lurking in the myrtle, and to which I’m highly allergic, I wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts and gloves.  Although I apply a variety of anti-poison ivy ointments and soap post-weeding, I’ve found that by spritzing acidic waters, aka acid water, from my water ionizer onto my arms/legs, even my face, my breakouts have been nil to minimal. If I get a spot or two, by continuing to spritz with acid water, my rash doesn’t spread as much and the healing time is reduced by at least a week.  My skin, overall, feels just great.

There are several disorders/diseases—namely fibromyalgia, arthritis and osteoporosis—that seem to be more problematic when people who suffer from one of these health issues have high acid levels in their blood.
